Compete to Beat 2026

Summer should be a time to relax, have fun, and enjoy everything Northern Colorado has to offer. Unfortunately, for far too many families in our community, summer brings added stress and impossible choices—like deciding between putting healthy food on the table, paying rent, making a car payment, or covering a utility bill.

When kids are home for the summer, many lose access to free and reduced meals they receive during the school year. That extra burden can stretch already tight budgets even thinner and force parents to make heartbreaking decisions.

Food insecurity affects more than 88,000 of our neighbors in Weld County, including 22,000 children.

That’s why I’m proud to support Compete to Beat. Your donation helps provide nutritious food for kids and families all summer long. By stocking the shelves of more than 73 agency partners, along with meal programs, shelters, and mobile distributions, you’re helping ensure our neighbors have access to the foods they want and need to thrive.
