Bolus Bowl Overview
Funds raised from the event will help to ensure that no child is ever turned away from camp due to an inability to pay.
In 2019 we were able to directly support 100 families with financial assistance of close to $70,000 that allowed them to attend camp for free or at a deeply discounted rate.
Type 1 Diabetes is a financially burdensome disease that affects the whole family, and without assistance from our campership program, many deserving families and children may not have the opportunity to have a life-changing experience at camp, one where they feel "normal" for the first time in their lives.
CHMK Outcomes
A week at Camp Ho Mita Koda has undeniable and measurable results on the well being and happiness of our campers. A positive experience, coupled with an inclusive and loving environment and topped off with creating incredibly strong friendships and memories that will last a lifetime, is the least we can do for our campers. How It Works
The Bolus Bowl is structured like a walk-a-thon. Captains will recruit team members and collectively fundraise on behalf of Camp Ho Mita Koda. The team will collect donations from individuals or make a team donation. Be sure to use our Bolus Bowl Fundraising Toolkit to help you fundraise! It includes plenty of tips and all the information you’ll need to get started.
Teams will consist of 5-6 bowlers including the captain. This is a family-friendly event, and we welcome both adults and children to participate in the tournament. All players will receive food & non-alcoholic drinks, arcade credits, free bowling shoes rental & a chance to win prizes!
The tournament will consist of up to 20 teams. The registration fee is $100 per team and is first-come, first-serve. Each team has a minimum fundraising goal of $500. There will be a fundraising competition, and the team who raises the most will get a special prize! We will also host a competition for “Best Team Name”, so it’s time to get creative!
