HHS Rowing Ergathon 2026

Celebrating 20 Years of Hingham High School Rowing

Support the Hingham High School Rowing Association (HHSRA) by sponsoring an athlete in our annual Ergathon on Saturday, February 28, 2026, as we celebrate 20 years of HHS Rowing.

The Ergathon is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Athletes compete in teams of four, rowing (erging) as many meters as possible in one hour. Teams are co-ed, span multiple grade levels, and bring big energy—creative team names, fun outfits, and plenty of school spirit.

The event will be hosted by our partner Mass MVMNT, located at 211 Lincoln Street in Hingham.

Founded in 2006 with just 20 athletes, HHS Rowing has grown into one of the most distinctive athletic programs at Hingham High School. Today, with over 115 student-athletes, crew is the second-largest sport at HHS and one of only 19 public high schools in Massachusetts—less than 4% statewide—to offer a rowing program.

HHS Rowing is a three-season, no-cut program for both girls and boys. Scholarships are available for students with demonstrated financial need, ensuring access to this unique opportunity for all who want to participate.

As a three-season, no-cut program for both girls and boys, HHS Rowing provides an inclusive athletic opportunity unlike any other at the high school level. Scholarships are available for students with demonstrated financial need, ensuring access for all who want to be part of the team.

The team competes at the highest levels, racing in in the Massachusetts Public School Rowing Association (MPSRA) and New England Interscholastic Rowing Association (NEIRA) championship regattas, among others. Each spring, HHS Rowing also hosts its own home regatta - the Salty Bow Sprints - right in Hingham Harbor. The program has earned medals across New England, multiple entries in the Head of the Charles, and is currently the MPSRA State Champion.

The impact of HHS Rowing extends well beyond high school. Alumni have gone on to row and attend more than 55 top-ranked public and private colleges and universities across the U.S. and Europe, reflecting both academic and athletic excellence.

With continued growth comes the need for essential equipment—from rowing shells and oars to cox boxes and ergs. Funds raised through the Ergathon directly support the purchase and maintenance of this equipment, helping our athletes train safely and compete at a championship level.

Any level of donation is welcome and deeply appreciated. Your support honors 20 years of HHS Rowing and invests in the future of our student-athletes.

Thank you for supporting HHSRA.
