Since June 2010, Gordon College has partnered with a local faith-based development organization called Partners in Development (PID). Through this partnership, Gordon students have been able to experience Haitian culture and work with those who are taking action to bring hope and prosperity to the nation of Haiti.

Serving thousands of patients each year, PID's clinic in Haiti has had a positive impact on the health of Haitians in the local community of Blanchard. PID offers not only a free medical clinic, but a housing development program, child sponsorships, and a small business loan program as well. This holistic approach to ministry is what creates PID's sustainable success in Haiti, and students who travel to Haiti will get to experience working in a community development program and furthering their understanding of the intricacies that go into running such a program.

We are so excited to be able to partner with PID once again by traveling to Haiti this winter. Students will work alongside Haitians, building houses for the community as well as completing various work projects at multiple construction sites. We will also be building relationships, learning the local culture and living in community with each other and the Haitian people. This is a phenomenal experience as you engage in a new culture and see God's work first hand.
