$558 Goal
PAWS is on a mission to save 1000 lives in 2015 - 1 pet at a time!
The average cost to care for one cat or dog at PAWS is $558. To date in 2014 we have adopted 490 animals at a cost of $273,420. Our goal for 2015 is to adopt 1000 dogs and cats.
We challenge you to save an animal's life by raising $558 for PAWS! You can do it as an individual, as a team, as a business or...any crazy way you can think of raising $558. We challenge you to figure out how you can save an animals life!!!
Here's an example of what your $558 means to some of the dogs that have passed through PAWS doors.
We cannot begin to tell you how much joy the adoption of Amaya & Maverick brings to the staff and volunteers who commit themselves daily to finding forever homes for the animals at PAWS. Many people have said that "saving" a large, 12-year old black dog like Amaya was a foolish thing to do. Others believed that Maverick, who spent 363 days at PAWS, should have been put down to make space for another dog.
No animal is immune from being euthanized due to pet overpopulation. Older animals and black animals are typically the first to be euthanized. Amaya and Maverick show us that each animal can have a future.
Although these victories may seem small to the average person, you know that they are not. That's why you give, and why we are full of gratitude for your generosity. Your on-going, self-less gifts are part of the success stories that each of these dogs have to tell. You make a profound difference that allows PAWS to reach beyond and continue to help animals get healthy, stay healthy and find loving homes throughout the community.
On behalf of the cats and dogs at PAWS, thank you, in advance, for your support.
