The Kellin Foundation will host its annual Journey to Brave Fundraiser, Auction and Benefit September 14-18. This week-long event will be a virtual celebration of the work we do year-round to keep children, adults and families safe and well.

What We Do

At the Kellin Foundation, we help build resilient children, adults, and families through behavioral health services, victim advocacy, and community outreach.

We provide one-on-one therapy, support groups, and peer support for adults with complicated mental illnesses and substance use issues. We support children healing from traumatic experiences, as one of only two National Child Traumatic Stress Network-recognized child trauma recovery centers in North Carolina. We help victims of domestic violence as they create new lives.

We serve approximately 10,000 people per year -- and almost every client receives our services FOR FREE. Our services are geared toward those who otherwise would not have access to care, including the uninsured or underinsured.

We're Top in Our Field

We are the only nationally recognized community behavioral health center in the state of North Carolina with expertise and focus on trauma and resiliency as a partner with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, other than Duke University.

We are recognized by the Center for Excellence on Integrated Care as a top-rated integrated health center, meaning we can treat people who need combined mental health and substance use treatment services.

We created Resilient Guilford, an action-oriented, trauma resiliency network made up of over 30 community partners, businesses, and leaders to provide a coordinated behavioral health response since 2010.

We created and lead the Child Response Initiative (CRI), a trauma-informed secondary prevention program that addresses the needs of children exposed to violence and trauma and their families.

But now, more than ever, the need is great and we need YOUR help!

Journey to Brave

Our Journey to Brave event helps us raise the critical funds to provide these services for FREE to more than 10,000 people every year.

In these uncertain times, the need for access to this care is more critical than ever. Suicide, depression, child abuse and domestic violence have increased as this pandemic spreads. The economic crisis means that more individuals and families in our community lack the financial resources to get quality care.

Our clients need us. Our community needs us. We need YOU!

Fund the need by donating here.

Want to give more? Become a Journey to Brave sponsor.

And be sure to save the date for our September 14-18 virtual Journey to Brave celebration, a week-long campaign, silent auction, and online event to highlight the work we do to support members of our community who are hurting the most.
