The Kanikapila Project Presents: E Kani Ka Pila, a fundraising dinner and concert to support music therapy at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children. Sunday, April 30th in Downtown Honolulu Hawaii we come together in helping fund music therapy for Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children's child live services department. We are honored by the generosity of artists Kimo Hussey, Jake Shimabukuro, and Zanuck Lindsey who will share their musical talents and styles during a very special performance. After the concert ukulele players will be invited to participate in a kanikapila. Guest of honor Roy Sakuma has had a lifetime career as Hawaii's foremost authority on ukulele instruction. He is alas a music producer and the founder of the Ukulele Festival Hawaii - the world's first ukulele festival. Roy Sakuma's is passionate about helping children heal by helping children to believe in themselves. Roy teaches that our weaknesses are there to help us find our inner strength, something he knows a great deal about.
Please join us in supporting music and it healing powers. Music has the power to bring joy, laughter and inspiration especially when a medical center is your temporary home. Help us bring this needed program to Hawaii and become a part of the healing process.
Thank you for your support in this important mission.
