Welcome to Band Factory 2026! Band Factory is a program of Lehigh Valley Girls Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering cisgender girls and women + trans and nonbinary folks through music and art.
Band Factory also doubles as fundraiser! Think of it like a 5k but cooler and with music! Folks sign up, we organize them into bands, and they write songs, raise money to compete for prizes, and then play a big show! Along the way we offer mentorship and even lend instruments!
Each of the ten brand new bands that have been formed through Band Factory has nine weeks to create a 10-12 minute set of original music with maybe a cover thrown in for fun. Some of our participants have never even touched their instrument before joining! Wow! Along the way, bands compete to win cool prizes like band merch, photo shoots, and studio recording time, all while helping to support LVGR's programs. Band Factory culminates with a showcase on December 13th at National Sokols in Bethlehem, PA where participants live out their rock star dreams.
Why are we raising money?
LVGR keeps its camp accessible to all. That means we provide scholarships to those who express need. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Typically 25-50% of our campers receive some level of scholarship. To make this possible, we need the support of our community! LVGR also has big dreams to grow our programs to provide more youth with the empowering, energizing, and inspiring opportunities we create through our youth camp, our after school club, and beyond. Specifically we hope to expand to more year round programing for young people to feel supported throughout the year.

Band Factory is primarily a fundraiser for Get LOUD Camp, a program that runs for one week each year and is open to cisgender girls + trans and nonbinary youth ages 10-17. They come to camp, form a band, learn to play an instrument, write an original song together, and play a show! All in five days while also attending workshops on self care, social justice, and community building. We do all of this in a positive, nurturing environment where we teach kids that their greatest power is in being themselves.
Get LOUD Camp takes a lot of resources - camp and venue space, staff costs and volunteer stipends, supplies, instruments, and the list goes on. We hope to raise $15,000 with this year's Band Factory, which will help fund a large portion of camp costs so that other resources can support our programming outside of camp.

- expand youth leadership opportunities- continue Let's Rock Camp (the adult version of Get LOUD Camp).- continue Get LOUD Fest (a concert celebrating gender inclusivity in music).- continue youth band mentorship beyond camp through things like after school programs- host meet ups and workshops throughout the year to bring folks together and cultivate a sense of community- expand our community partnerships
And one day we'd love to grow to . . .
- hold two sessions of Get LOUD Camp (one for kids, one for teens)- secure a location to call our own where we’ll be able to do so much more
