Young Life Latin America / Caribbean spans 27 countries and is reaching approx 116,000 kids. This May, friends of Young Life Latin America / Caribbean will attempt to walk a total of 3,000 miles over 30 days to help send kids to Young Life camp so that they can have the best week of their lives. *3,000 miles is the approximate distance from the US border to the Panama Canal, the center of the LAC Division.
Young Life camping involves high adventure, lots of fun, great food and excellent speakers who understand and can speak to the needs of teenagers.
As Young Life's worldwide outreach continues to grow, our camping program in Latin America / Caribbean is expanding as well, with Young Life-owned camps in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. In addition to these camps, many counties throughout Latin America / Caribbean host their own pop-up Young Life camps called Camp On Wheels.
Regardless of the facility, the experience is the same — kids getting away from the pressures of everyday life, having fun with friends and their Young Life leaders, and hearing the message of God's love in terms they can understand.
This summer, we anticipate welcoming over 18,000 kids from throughout Latin America & the Caribbean at Young Life camp. Each will have an experience that many describe as the best of their lives.
