Megan Rouse, approached us with an idea to light up her neighborhood in support of Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills. Armed with a matching donation and luminaries, we're hoping to light up Moore County to show support of our local youth and Boys and Girls Club efforts with staff, partners, and volunteers to keep them fed during this crisis.
School's out, but hunger isn't. What are we doing to help local kids?
We are operating the Summer Food Service Program. This USDA program ensures that children continue to receive nutritious meals during this pandemic when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast.
Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills sponsors this program by providing feeding sites with breakfast and lunch at no cost. Community-based organizations operate these feeding sites at schools, and youth centers.
Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills is committed to serve and impact as many Moore County youth as possible during the COVID-19 crisis.
