HSMC 2025 Shelter Slumber Pawty

The Humane Society of Marlboro County is hosting the third annual “Shelter Slumber Pawty” in an effort to raise funds and increase awareness for our shelter animals. Last year we raised $9,089, and after an especially difficult year, we are hoping to meet or exceed an even higher goal of $20,000!

For 24 hours, 10 participants will eat, sleep, and play in the shelter along with one of their favorite 4-legged shelter residents. The entire event will be streamed on social media as participants provide viewers with a sneak peek into the lives of shelter pets. 

The Humane Society of Marlboro County is a non-profit animal rescue organization devoted to saving, rehabilitating and re-homing abandoned and abused animals in Marlboro County, SC. We operate the open intake Marlboro County Animal Shelter which houses pets for Marlboro County and the City of Bennettsville, SC. Our small staff plus an amazing group of volunteers provide daily care, feeding, housing and medical care for over 1,600 animals a year in need.
