Update posted 5 years ago

Thank you to everyone who has contributed this year! I'm excited to share that we met our goal of raising $10,000! We may have met our goal, but our work isn't done. This year has proven that mathematics is a key driver of our progress.

Our focus remains inspiring and supporting mathematicians to find solutions to our most pressing challenges. We are so thankful for the continued support of our incredible community and encourage each of you to share our work with your friends and family this season.

Together, we can support mathematicians at all levels of their journeys.

Everyday, MAA supports our members - teachers, professors, and students - with the resources and encouragement they need to tackle society's biggest challenges. Our thriving community of more than 28,000 members reaches millions of students across the country learning mathematics, and that impact fuels the continued development of vital solutions.

2020 was not without it's challenges. In the wake of COVID-19,  MAA responded to the crisis by:

  • Developing immediate webinars and resources for professors to successfully transition to virtual learning;
  • Hosting Diversity webinars to offer actionable best practices to departments;
  • Launching M-Powered, our student, teacher and parent-focused mathematics website;
  • Moving our AMC competitions online for student access outside of the classroom; and,
  • Continuing to provide world-class publications to our members.

Contributions from donors, like you, ensure that MAA can continue to provide world-class resources, information, best practices and engagement opportunities. Student success today paves the way for the mathematicians of tomorrow to ensure  we continue to thrive as a society. Make a contribution today and support your mathematical community!
