Maverick Antarctica Penguin Polar Plunge

Maverick Entrepreneurs are headed to Antarctica on an Epic Impact Expedition!
When you think of Antarctica, you probably think of a far far away land that is cold, has lots of ice, penguins and a really special pristine energy about it. We thought the same AND also.. in true Maverick style thought - what better place for the Ultimate (Penguin) Polar Plunge!? You know… into the COLDEST WATERS ON THE PLANET.

Seems like a great idea, right?

And since one of our core pillars in Maverick is IMPACT (the others being Growth and Fun), we’ve decided to create the first ever Peter Petrovsky Maverick Antarctica Penguin Polar Challenge. A mouthful, we know. As for who Peter is … more on that to come.

In the meantime, here’s the scoop:

WHAT: Maverick Antarctica Penguin Polar Challenge. Mavericks and guests will take the plunge into the coldest waters in the world to raise money for Ocean Conservation.

WHEN: TBD between February 2-6, 2022

THE CAUSE: The Southern Ocean surrounding Antarctica is one of the most pristine places on Earth. Home to nearly 10,000 unique and diverse species, the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC) wants to see the Southern Ocean protected with the world’s largest network of marine protected areas (MPAs), starting in East Antarctica, the Weddell Sea, and the Antarctic Peninsula.

MPAs are the most effective way to protect ocean ecosystems. They protect biodiversity, while mitigating the impacts of climate change and providing reference areas for scientific research.

Your support promotes new MPAs in the world's last great wilderness.

GOAL: To raise $11,111 to support the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC) while creating epic memories that will last a lifetime! (Oh, and cold plunges are pretty good for your health, btw)

PRIZE: Oh, and yes - there will be a prize for whoever raises the most funds!
