Mentoring Mighty Minds, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization founded in 2020, is dedicated to empowering young African-American males in grades 6-12 through impactful partnerships with school districts and community organizations. Our core mission is to ignite self-awareness and cultivate a growth mindset, fostering a transformative impact on their lives. Through our work and partnerships, we have incorporated school initiatives that include programs for both boys and girls from multiple ethnic backgrounds. These initiatives are designed to foster a more inclusive learning environment and to help students succeed academically and socially.
We offer a diverse range of programs and activities designed to achieve this mission, including:
After-School Clubs: Providing a safe and supportive environment where students can engage in academic enrichment, mentorship, and character development activities.
Community Events: Organizing events that celebrate African-American culture, promote positive role models, and strengthen community bonds.
Workshops and Seminars: Offering targeted workshops on topics such as academic success, leadership, financial literacy, and health and wellness.
One-on-One Mentoring: Matching students with dedicated mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement.
College and Career Readiness: Equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in higher education and the workforce.
Through these comprehensive efforts, Mentoring Mighty Minds strives to enhance academic performance, cultivate essential social skills, and nurture responsible decision-making, ultimately empowering these young men to lead healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.
Please consider helping us reach our goal to bring 50 youth to the Rockets game during Spring Break.
