Moroto Project - Fix the Famine

Transformed Communities International (TCI) is a 501(c)(3) organization working in rural Uganda to transform individuals, schools and communities through education, providing food & water, and sustainable agriculture. Since 2009, its founders, Frank and Sue Robb, have been working in Kiburara, Western Uganda with local organizations and individuals to carry out this mission.

Currently, TCI is working with its Uganda team (since July 2022) to bring immediate famine relief and long-term transformation to about 5,000 persons in the Moroto, Karamoja area of Eastern Uganda. Efforts are already under way to bring sustainable agriculture to a drought-stricken area that historically has been used for raising cattle, while at the same time supplying needed food. These efforts will be referred to as the “Moroto Project.” As a small organization with an entirely volunteer US staff, TCI needs additional resources to carry out this mission.

This child is 3 years old and cannot walk or talk (see right image). Undernourished children miss major development milestones that can affect their whole life. Right now with inflation and gas prices, a financial donation may seem out of reach. But, even a small amount, as little as $5, could help. It costs approximately $20,000 each time we deliver food, seeds and watering cans to these grateful people. Each and every one of you is crucial to this mission.
