Every year, several hundred hikers set out to hike the entire length of the  Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). A thru-hike, as it's called, generally takes 4 to 6 months to complete.  Hikers typically start their trek at the trails southern terminus on the Mexican border and wind their way 2,663 miles to the northern terminus at the Canadian border. The route closely follows the spine of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges, with elevations from just above sea level to over 13,000 ft.

Many people dream of hiking the PCT someday, but never take those first steps on the trail. mYAMAdventure aims to help these people pursue their dreams of the PCT through a support network of experienced hikers who will act as mentors during the planning process. Hikers also receive support from our generous sponsors.

To help ensure that the PCT is preserved and protected for hikers to come, we're asking each hike to fundraise at least $2,000 to benefit the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA), stewards of the PCT.
