What is a Battle of the Patriarchy you ask?
It's basically a Battle of the Bands Fundraiser wherein women, trans and gender expansive adults are placed into bands and given a fundraising goal in support of RIOT RI (fka Girls Rock! RI), a volunteer-based non-profit located in Providence, RI that uses music creation, critical thinking and collaborative relationships to foster collective empowerment and the development of healthy identities in girls, women, trans, and gender-expansive youth and adults.
Each band writes original music while fundraising online to support their local rock camp, and at the end of 10 weeks, the bands finally play a huge fundraiser show! Join us on October 30th at RIOT RI Headquarters at 763R Westminster St, Providence, RI for the battle of a lifetime!
