ABOUT THE WALK OF LOVE

Each year animal lovers come together for a beautiful and leisurely 2K walk. This year’s event will be held June 22, 2024 at the Potawatomi Woods near Northbrook/Wheeling. This dog-friendly event includes a 2.5K walk, food and beverages, activities, duck pull, raffles, and much more.  There is plenty of fun for humans and dogs of all ages! 

You can share your experience on social media while asking for donations. Our goal this year is to raise $4,000 through team fundraisers. While fundraising is a key aspect of the event, showcasing Heartland and your favorite pet may be even more important.  

FUNDRAISING FOR THE WALK OF LOVE

Everyone who raises at least:

• $100 gets their registration fee waived
• $250 gets their registration fee waived PLUS 5 raffle tickets
• $500 gets their registration fee waived PLUS 10 raffle tickets
• Top fundraiser over $500 wins two tickets to this year's Golden Paw Gala OR a $100 gift card.
• Second place fundraiser over $500 wins a $75 gift card.
