NOLA to Angola is an annual bicycle ride fundraiser with a one-day, 35 mile option and a three-day, 170 mile option. We ride from Orleans Parish Prison in New Orleans to Angola, the Louisiana State Penitentiary, biking each mile in solidarity with families who travel long distances to connect with their incarcerated loved ones.
In 2026, all of our funds will support operating costs for the Cornerstone Builders Bus Project, which connects families to their incarcerated loved ones. In previous years, we’ve also been able to support The First 72+, Daughters Beyond Incarceration, RISE Collective, and REMILA.
Nola to Angola is entirely volunteer-run. We support first-time riders and build connections between riders and local organizations working against mass incarceration. Your financial contributions will provide direct support for individuals rebuilding their lives as they return to society and reconnect with their families and communities.
