NOMAS is a new 501(c)(3) organization that advocates and provides legal services for low-income individuals of immigrant, migrant, and refugee backgrounds. In addition, NOMAS provides volunteer opportunities for members of the community with varying backgrounds and different experiences to assist in legal services under the direction of an attorney. They do so to promote cross-cultural unity and a greater understanding and tolerance of individuals from different backgrounds and countries. Since its founding in 2020, NOMAS has conducted over 1,700 legal consultations and filed over 476 immigration applications. NOMAS provides services all across Utah and hopes to expand its services to underserved areas in the State.
