An amazing group of women are completing the Naperville Women's 5k and Half Marathon on April 22, 2018, with the goal of raising $50,000 for the organization Angiosarcoma Awareness/Cure ASC. We are running to further research against Angiosarcoma, a cancer that has affected a family in our community.
Almost one year ago, Steve Macaluso, a 41 year-old father of 3 elementary school-aged children, was diagnosed with stage IV (metastatic, incurable) Angiosarcoma. This is a very rare cancer and there are limited funds available for research. All donations will be going directly to Cure ASC, the only charity dedicated entirely to Angiosarcoma research.
We will be completing this race with Steve's incredible wife, Alexis Dunne. Please consider donating to this great cause to help find a cure for this family.
