The Fireman's Challenge is a traditional philanthropy event for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Chapters at Virigina Tech and George Washington have seen great success with it, where just last year the two school combined raised well over $40,000. Since the events creation in 2011, over 2,000 people have joined us in this week long competition, and we have been able to raise over $28,000.
The Lambda Nu Chapter at Boston University has now brought this event to our campus for the fourth consecutive year in hopes of supporting the local efforts of the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation (BFBF), a local non-profit group comprised of local firemen who volunteer their time to support the efforts of the Burn Foundation to relieve the stress and suffering of burn victims and their families by providing food, clothing, shelter, medical care and more to victim in the Boston area. The Fireman's Challenge consists of a week of daily contests, where teams comprised of BU students help raise money for the BFBF all while competing in talent shows, crossfit training and more. Check out the event website for all of the details! (www.bufiremanschallenge.weebly.com)
If you have any questions or would like to get involved on a larger scale with Fireman's Challenge, please feel free to contact us. We would love to hear from you.
Best,
