Last Day to donate!

Update posted 3 years ago

Today is the last day to donate!

Check out the photos from our in-person event in Ava on Friday, October 28th:

Food insecurity is the condition of not having access to sufficient food or food of adequate quality to meet one’s basic needs. Sadly, this is a reality for many families and individuals in the Ozarks. To help address this critical need, White River Valley Electric Cooperative is asking our communities to rally together for our annual “Power to Turn Hunger into Hope” food drive campaign.

“Power to Turn Hunger into Hope” Has been advocating for the food insecure since 2014, collecting food and funds surpassing 647,400 meals. During those years the drive has been through many different versions of itself and this year is no different. The best interaction has been to utilize in-person, in-office, and online donation options. Each year has built on the previous and in 2023 cash and nonperishables were collected to combine for 105,274 meals.

The “Power to Turn Hunger into Hope” campaign will run throughout the month of October. All funds raised will support a dedicated pantry in each of our five counties and every dollar donated will provide four meals.

Please join us by donating and sharing this event with your family, friends, and social media followers. We are hoping for another record-breaking year that reminds us that together, we have the power to turn hunger into hope!
