Each QVS Fellow works full-time at a community-based organization, engaging in direct service and advocacy work like...
Fellows try on the Quaker Way as they build intentional community through cooperative housing and engage in bi-monthly QVS Days for continued spiritual and community work.
In each of the five cities in which we operate, QVS houses are under the care of one or more Quaker meetings or churches. These networks of local Friends offer hospitality, practical service, and spiritual nurturing throughout the program year.
We ask each Fellow to raise ~ $2,000 to help support the costs of the fellowship year. We know that QVS Fellows have varied wealth and class privilege, and intend for a collective goal to acknowledge this and engage Fellows (and their networks) across lines of class, stretching everyone involved to think and talk about money, class, privilege, and access to wealth in new ways.
As an organization, we see fundraising as a form of organizing and movement-building, and an essential strategy when working against all forms of oppression and toward justice and liberation of all people. We welcome you into this work and vision of a society in which young adults are empowered to discern and live into their gifts and callings.
