Together, we plan to raise $10,000 or more to support TONYC’s second annual Legislative Theatre Festival.
$10 will guarantee that your voice is heard at TONYC’s 2nd annual Legislative Theatre Festival, Spring to Action. If you live far away from NYC but you believe in the power of participatory democracy, your $10 will subsidize seats for an audience of diverse New Yorkers to ensure that their votes are counted.
This year's festival will bring together actors, community members, policy makers, and legislators to brainstorm alternatives to the actors’ real-life experiences of racism and discrimination in the criminal justice system. In response to the stories presented on stage, the local, state, and federal policy makers in the room will commit to bringing audience generated ideas back to their respective legislative chambers.
