Girls Rock NC is a youth-centered organization dedicated to building community and power among girls, transgender youth, and gender expansive youth through musical collaboration, political education for social change, and creative expression.
We accomplish this by focusing on social justice, collaboration, and the courage it takes to wield our own powerful voices. We are an ever-growing community of educators, activists, musicians, social workers, artists, learners, & people who want to envision a world free of gender-based oppression.
Rock Roulette is our annual adult program/fundraiser. This is a rock camp experience for adults to participate in, all while raising money for Girls Rock NC!
We place registrants into bands based on musical interests, locations, and other factors. These bands then have 8 weeks to get together and write original music along with an optional cover song to perform at the Rock Roulette showcase on Saturday, April 6th at The Fruit in Durham.
