Join us on September 17th (or hike any day in September) and elevate the lives of homeless pets in Intermountain Humane Society's 5th annual Trails for Tails Fundraiser! Participants are welcome to hike the beautiful trails of Staunton State Park and savor the views of one of the most beautiful parks in the west!
The challenge is simple...Create a team, raise money, lace-up your boots, and come join us for good friends and good times (or hike solo and enjoy the quiet serenity). All while helping animals in need!
Four-legged hiking companions are invited along for your day of adventure or they can sit on the sidelines and bark, err cheer, you on to finish.
TO PARTICIPATE:
Step #1: Build your profile and raise money for your hike!
Trails for Tails raises much-needed funds for the animals that come through our shelter doors each year. By joining our 'team,' every dollar you raise goes directly towards the animals in our care.
Start your online personal fundraising page for Trails for Tails! It's easy and takes just a few minutes. Get started:
- Click the "Join This Event" button under the Goal Tracker Bar. Then follow the steps to join the event, create a team, and launch your team to raise money!
- Customize the text and the photo on your Personal Fundraising Page. Make sure to tell your personal story of your connection to IMHS or rescue animals!
- Send the link out to your friends, family, colleagues – anyone you think will help you reach your goal. Don'y forget to share the link on Social Media Platforms!
- Advertising must include information that you are Hiking Staunton State Park for IMHS. All sponsorship money raised through MightyCause will come directly to IMHS.
**Unlike a traditional walk-a-thon, donations through MightyCause are not per mile hiked, donors will give a one time donation for your hike.
**If you wish to take pledges and money on paper and turn in cash/checks that's also fine! Please still register by 'Joining our Team.' MightyCause then gives the option of adding in offline donations!
**All donors will receive a tax receipt from MightyCause, and will receive a thank you letter from IMHS, after Trails for Tails, sharing how successful the event was.

Step #2: Take a Hike at Staunton State Park!
Verified donors will be issued a one time pass to hike any day in September at Staunton State Park. Simply place the car pass in your vehicle and take a hike!
