Fundraiser ended + $3,355 raised

Update posted 5 years ago

Thanks to YOUR generosity and support, the Sweat for Hope Fundraiser raised $3,355 for Mountain View based nonprofit Hope's Corner. This will provide about a bagged breakfast and lunch for more than 800 people.

Thank you for helping feed those in need. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

JOIN THE FUNDRAISER

You know that happy feeling after you finally get yourself to workout? You can have double that happy feeling if you join the Sweat for Hope campaign and work up a sweat for yourself and for Hope's Corner, which strives to alleviate local food insecurity and spread hope throughout the community.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Sweat for Hope Fundraiser and the nonprofit it will support: Hope's Corner.

My name is Sophia Lee. I'm the Sweat for Hope Fundraiser organizer and a volunteer of 2 years at Hope's Corner. During quarantine, as someone under 18, I could unfortunately not volunteer in person at Hope's Corner. After seeing more people on the streets and hearing more COVID-19 stories of financial hardship, I still wanted to do something to help by combining this cause with fitness, something else I’m passionate about. Thus, Sweat for Hope was born.

When I’ve helped serve breakfast at Hope’s Corner, I’ve been struck by the strength of the community that thrives as people eat breakfast and other volunteers cheerfully greet them and strike up conversations. The people who come for breakfast, despite not having much, still have smiles on their faces, hope in their eyes, and resilience in their steps. It makes me happy to think that by volunteering at and supporting Hope’s Corner I can be a small part of that.

Please help me reach my collective fundraising goal of $2,000 from Wednesday, September 2-Wednesday, September 9. Through participating in and supporting Sweat for Hope, you too have the chance to be a part of the wonderful work of Hope's Corner.

Thank you in advance for your support! Every bit is greatly appreciated.

PRIZE TO TOP FUNDRAISER

The top individual fundraiser will win a $40 gift card, courtesy of A Runner's Mind. To compete for this prize, you MUST create a personal campaign page to be recognized by the leaderboard as an individual fundraiser. To make sure donations made on your behalf count, make sure your sponsors donate directly via your personal campaign or search for your personal campaign when making their donation.

I am aware that as of 5:58 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 1, I am the top individual fundraiser. If that is still the case by the end of the fundraiser, the prize will go to the 2nd place fundraiser.
