The MLF Wish Makers

In 2013, Dr. Ernie Vomero (Dr. V) led a team of 6 riders taking part in this great event, for the first time, to benefit the Foundation. His crew of cyclists raised over $25,000 our first year.

Fast forward five years – led by Dr. V and Marty – the MLF team has a goal of $200,000 and our riders will be among 32,000 cyclists, riding 40 miles through the five boroughs of NYC with 0 cars. 

The Marty Lyons Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization established in 1982 to fulfill the special wishes of children  3 to 17 years of age, who have been diagnosed with having a terminal or life threatening illness.

MLF has 10 chapters in 13 states and we are one of the only wish granting organizations that will grant a second wish to a child who has fallen out of remission and is facing another uphill battle with their illness.
