By Presidential Proclamation, January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and National Human Trafficking Day is observed annually on January 11th.
To acknowledge this important day, The Embracing Project is hosting a combined festival and 5k race event to increase awareness on the issues of human trafficking and the paths to exploitation and to raise funding for programs and services that benefit victims and survivors of trafficking.
