The Priority Center is Orange County’s largest nonprofit dedicated primarily to the prevention of child abuse. They provide outreach, prevention, and intervention services to vulnerable families throughout our community. The Priority Center’s goal is to support families in crisis in order to foster resilience and help end the generational cycle of trauma.
Each year, The Priority Center serves more than 5,700 underserved children and families. They also support the broader community by organizing outreach and educational events that reach over 23,000 children and families annually.
The Priority Center athletes will take on a series of athletic challenges to raise awareness and funds, including running the 124.8-mile Zion Ponderosa Trail Ragnar Relay Race on May 8–9, 2026, as well as participating in a push-up challenge. These efforts help ensure that every child in Orange County has a bright future and a strong start in life. We believe every child deserves a safe and nurturing home free from abuse, neglect, and instability so they can reach their greatest potential.
We are running for Andre, a single father who lived in his car with his five-year-old twin daughters until our programs intervened, and for Paloma, a single mother attending UCI while working full time and caring for her baby, who felt overwhelmed by the challenges life placed in her path. We are running to help change lives like theirs.
We invite you to join us in the fight against child abuse.
