Women Build 2018

Women Build is an annual, worldwide event, sponsored nationally by Lowe’s Home Improvement, engaging women within our community to come together to help families build a decent and affordable place they can call home. We are excited to be expanding our efforts this year to assist two families by constructing homes built and funded by women. These homes will empower Brandy Jordan and Cartiana Auguste to build a brighter future for themselves and their families through affordable homeownership.

Brandy Jordan is the proud mother of 8-year-old Destiny. Brandy works two jobs, full-time at a security monitoring company, and part-time at a local hotel. In addition, she volunteers one day a week at Destiny’s school.  Brandy is excited about having a place to call her own and being able to give her daughter a more stable future.

Cartiana Auguste is originally from Haiti. She recently graduated from Everglades University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Cartiana currently works as a manager at Walgreens and hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Cartiana is very excited to help build her own house and volunteer in our organization.
