OVER $11,000 RAISED FOR SENIOR PETS!

Update posted 3 months ago

WOWZA! In just 2 weeks, our amazing team of fundraisers has raised over $11,000 to help homeless senior pets get the second chances they deserve. 12-year-old Sinbad went wide-eyed when he heard the news!! Way to go, everyone!

15-year-old Rusty & 10-year-old Buddy are an adoptable bonded pair at Young at Heart's adoption center.

In a perfect world, every senior pet would spend their twilight years surrounded by a loving family. Sadly, senior pets that end up in shelters often do not get that chance. That's where Young at Heart comes in!

Founded in 2005, Young at Heartâ„¢ is Chicagoland's oldest 501c3 nonprofit rescue dedicated solely to saving senior dogs and cats. Young at Heart's cage-free adoption center just for senior dogs and cats opened in Woodstock IL in September 2019.

9-year-old Kaia is an adoptable cat brought in after she was confiscated from an animal hoarding case.

Our mission is to provide senior dogs and cats with comfort, compassion, and companionship in their golden years. This includes comprehensive medical care, nutritious and specialized meals, daily medications, a cozy home-like environment, and lots and lots of love. We aim to find loving forever homes for adoptable senior pets, and for those who need the extra support, we offer a peaceful sanctuary for the rest of their lives.

Join us for a Shelter Slumber Pawty as we highlight why senior pets make amazing companions to humans of all ages, how Young at Heart is different than a traditional animal shelter, and have a LOT of fun over 24 hours raising funds to make our mission possible!

16-year-old Gideon is a lovable grump who is part of Young at Heart's Sanctuary Program.

With your support, Young at Heartâ„¢ gives older dogs and cats another chance to enjoy the twilight of their lives through rescue, foster, adoption and sanctuary.

Donate now and help us reach our $35,000 goal to help more homeless senior pets!

12-year-old Jack is an adoptable senior cat at the adoption center who loves getting belly rubs.
