FUND BIPOC-LED SOCIAL CHANGE
TAKE ACTION
The consequence of implicit bias in philanthropy is that as little as 8% of funding goes to people of color, 1% to the Black community, and 0.6% to women of color, reinforcing the belief and practice that social change with communities of color must be led by white-governed institutions. We challenge you to change the system: prioritize resources now and from now on for BIPOC-led social change in Minneapolis/St. Paul and across the US.

THE FEATURED ORGANIZATIONS
MISSION: We use dialogue, alternative education, & artistic expression to support mixed people & transracial adoptees of color to learn through an intersectional framework, heal racial trauma, and build community solidarity in the struggle for equity and justice.
Midwest Mixed centers Black, Indigenous & POC of all skin tones and across the gender and sexuality spectrum who identify as or connect to the experiences of being mixed-race, multiracial, biracial, multiethnic, or as transracial and/or transnational adoptees. We also hold space for interracial couples and multiracial/mixed families.

MISSION: Planting seeds of social change through education, training, and outreach.
Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute is a Minnesota-based training center and social enterprise with a global impact. We promote literacy and leadership development for youth through our books, educational trainings, and leadership summits. We are committed to ending the literacy gap and promoting equal education for all.
DONATE to Lower Phalen Creek Project
MISSION: To engage people in honoring and caring for our natural places and the sacred sites and cultural value within them.
Lower Phalen Creek Project has worked to advocate for natural spaces on the East Side for more than 20 years. Our project area stretches from Lake Phalen to the Mississippi River - our work is powered by a dedicated board, staff, and advisory council of citizens that represent the neighborhoods and cultural communities with ties to this area. We actively partner with the City of Saint Paul and others in three main areas: Environmental Education, Urban Conservation and Restoration, and Cultural Connections and Healing.
