The 100 Black Men of Las Vegas, Inc. is a membership organization whose mission is to mentor young minority boys who are in the 3rd-12th grade in school. The organization was founded in 2000 by Larry Mosely because of the concern that too many black boys were being referred to special education classes because of behavior problems. We mentor in three schools, Joe Mackey, Wendell P. Williams and the Imagine 100 Academy of Excellence, a charter school started by the 100 Black Men of Las Vegas in 2006. Our organization is supported by Cox, MGM Resorts, Cannery, NV Energy, State Farm, Southwest Airlines,  Ceasars Entertainment, the United Way, and the Combined Federal Campaign. Our goal is to change the behavior of minority youth to reduce behavior problems, improve school attendance, better grades, positive attitudes and the desire to suceed in school and the community.
