2 Nd Chance Animal Sanctuary

We seek to speak for those who CANNOT. We are located in rural Blount County, Alabama where we are the home to many dogs, cats, horses, goats and even a 500 pound pig. ALL of our animals are fully vetted prior to being placed for adoption. We strive to find the perfect forever home for all of our residents through an application process and home visit program.

We are a small group of individuals who believe that we CAN make a difference in the lives of hundreds of homeless, abused and neglected animals ONE animal at a time! We do this in many ways.

We seek to change the ideology that an animal is merely an item of property and can be disposed of without any thought to its' feelings or welfare.

We also seek to educate people on how their thoughtless behavior and irresponsibility contributes to the millions of companion animals that die needlessly in this country every year.

We take action by rescuing the abused, abandoned and neglected AND by nursing both their physical and psychological scars and by finally placing them in loving forever homes.

We work tirelessly to enact laws that will better defend an animal's right to a safe environment and a loving home.

We investigate and work closely with law enforcement authorities to see that the animal cruelty laws are enforced to their fullest extent.

Our goal is to speak for the ones who cannot and to one day NOT be NEEDED AT ALL!
