Navigation, Referral, and Enrollment Services Many individuals and families face complex challenges that require navigating a maze of social services and programs. 211 San Diego's highly trained specialists offer personalized assistance, helping individuals navigate through available resources, understand eligibility criteria, and connect them to the most appropriate services for their needs. We also offer application assistance for public programs ranging from CalFresh to rental assistance (when available) to discounted utility assistance. Your donation supports the ongoing training and development of these specialists, ensuring they can continue to provide valuable guidance and support. |
Enhance Disaster Response Capabilities 211 San Diego provides crucial disaster and public health emergency services. During emergencies or disasters, we work closely with local governments and first responders, providing real-time information and assistance to ensure people receive the help they require. For example, during the pandemic, we shared information about testing sites, vaccination centers, and safety guidelines. We also scheduled appointments for vaccinations, signed homebound individuals up for in-home vaccinations, coordinated delivery of food pantry boxes to isolated individuals, and completed rental and utility assistance applications for those without digital access or digital literacy. Your donation helps strengthen our disaster and emergency response capabilities to be even more effective in times of disasters and other emergencies. |
