2nd Chance Living PMI

A nonprofit organization

Second Chance Living PMI(SCLPMI) works to improve the lives of justice-involved women in underserved communities by focusing on community resources that create a measurable impact in workforce development, mental health, and reduce the probability of returning to prison. Our goal is to impact 200 justice women throughout Louisiana by the end of 2025!

Your Support Creates Second Chances

Every day, women returning home from incarceration face overwhelming barriers-housing instability, job discrimination, mental health struggles, limited access to technology, and the weight of stigma. At Second Chance Living PMI (SCLPMI), we're here to change that.

With your support, we provide the tools and support systems women need to reclaim their lives. From ages 18 to 80, our participants receive personalized case management, workforce development training, life skills coaching, mental health support, and so much more.

In 2024 alone, more than 100 women completed our Reentry Workforce Development Program.

- 93% earned their high school diplomas or GEDs

- 72% secured stable employment

- Over half gained financial literacy and built strong resumes

Since our founding, we've empowered over 756 women and their children to move forward with confidence, dignity, and hope.

When you give to SCLPMI, you're not just donating-you're investing in transformation, in resilience, and in brighter futures.

Together, we are building a pathway to progress. Will you walk with us?

Testimonials

2nd Chance has helped me get on my priorities. It feels good that I have my own place. In Feb 2024, I was released from prison and unemployed before moving into Grandma's House. I'm currently employed at $14 per hour as a cook at McDonalds and have plans to attend welding school within the next 6 months. Now I have my place and am employed. - Kyreion Videau

This program has allowed me to get a better headspace and save some money. Before moving to 2nd Chance, I was employed but lost my job due to incarceration. I have many requirements through the courts, so this program helped me gain employment and not be homeless in the process. - S. Parker
