2 Share Foundation, Inc.

The Mission at 2 Share Foundation is to work with Law Enforcement K9 Units of Arizona. Many agencies do not have the budget to fully fund a K9 unit with either dogs or their very expensive equipment, therefore 2 Share Foundation is there to help these great Service Dogs.

2 Share Foundation is a 501(c) 3 Non-profit organization that was started in 2012 for the purpose of working with Animals and Children that were affected by the economic downturn. A gift shop was opened in Historic Downtown Glendale. In January 2014 2 Share had a meeting with Mayor Weiers of Glendale to discuss the best possible way to help the community. Mayor Weiers sent 2 Share to speak with the Police Chief in regards to working with the K9 unit because there was no budget to help the dogs and the handlers were bearing the burden of the costs to maintain their Partner.

Glendale had just lost one of the K9 Officers in his first and last takedown while trying to apprehend a suspect that was hiding under an inground trampoline after a convenience store robbery. Officer Ronin and his handler Officer Wes Zymont were on the seen. Ronin found that suspect who then presented a gun and fired a shot. The shot went through through the back of Ronin's neck and into Officer Zymont's hand and foot. Had Ronin been equipped with a protection vest he may have been able to survive.

It is because of the passion to protect the dogs that protect the public, 2 Share developed the program of working with Law Enforcement K9 Units.

2 Share has successfully vested all 6 of Glendale K9s at a cost of $2500 for each vest.

At the present 2 Share is working with an agency in Coconino County to assist in the purchase of an additional dog and his equipment after the retirement of their present K9.
