The focus of 4Ekselans is to create a nurturing, supportive, intellectually and socially stimulating environment that allows children, youth and young adults to develop their potential to influence and motivate others in ethical and socially responsible ways. 

Investing in youth is one of the most effective ways to influence the future of a nation. It is our belief that if Haiti is to have a future, it will be realized in the next generation of leaders. We believe it is imperative to reach out to the youngest members of the society and prepare them for that day. They are still impressionable and possess a natural curiosity. If they can be taught to think in fresh, new, healthy ways, they can rise above the destructive thought patterns and behaviors that have brought Haiti to the brink of destruction in times past.

The 4Ekselans team is committed to developing a new generation of leaders in Haiti. Our desire is to develop leadership potential in those who only need a chance, effective mentors, and training to propel them forward. What has been successfully done by others can be done again - especially with the right tools, attitude, character and responsible actions.

We are committed with the help of others to provide the tools and challenges to set their spirits free, protect their dignity, promote their God-given uniqueness, and enable them to become all they can be - diamonds of great value and the next generation of leaders.

Leadership is more about who a person is than a position he holds; therefore, we stress the development of character and the pursuit of excellence in all arreas of one's life. A good leader of people transcends his/her own self-interests to build people, institutions, communities and nations. He/she is the one out front who is willing to sacrifice for the common good.

Is this vision too lofty for a people who struggle daily just to survive? We don’t think so. Not only do we believe it is a worthy goal, we believe it is possible to develop a group of leaders who will make an impact among their friends and family, their circle of influence, and eventually their nation and world. Ultimately, through a ripple effect, an even wider circle of influence will be created.

We do however understand the real hardships that the economically disadvantaged face daily. Sometimes the desperate needs of the present make it difficult to look towards a future. Many are seemingly without hope. It will take time and patience to turn the tide of poverty and its effects, but we cannot allow difficulties or seeming impossibilities to discourage us. What is built right from the ground up will survive the storms of life and even become stronger as a result of them. 

We see four primary areas (spiritual, psychological, emotional/social and physical) in which to develop excellence. Since each part of an individual affects all other aspects, the programs and services of 4Ekselans are designed for growth and development of the total person. As such, we provide education & tools to develop healthy, balanced & productive lives.
