9th Street Youth & Community Center

At 9th Street Youth and Community Center (YCC), we believe in the power of young people and the environment to shape a better future. Based in Chester, PA, our programs give students—many from low-income Black and Brown communities—the chance to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact in their city.

Many of our students face challenges: some come from families without access to transportation, some have parents who don’t speak English, and many lack green spaces to play and learn. Our programs get students outside, engaged, and empowered to create change in their own neighborhoods.
