A Brighter Community Inc

Our mission is simple:

We believe every child deserves access to education. So for the past 95 years, A Brighter Community has worked to provide economical childcare for low-income families in the Tampa Heights area.

Poverty directly affects children physically, emotionally, and cognitively.  Often, they cannot concentrate in school because of dire home conditions, and this ultimately creates a school readiness gap as they begin their grade school years at a disadvantage-- through no fault of their own. Working parents are doing all they can to create opportunities for their children, but sometimes life gets tough.

That's where we come in.

Our families provide what they can to send their 3-, 4-, and 5-year olds to school, and we fight to make up the difference. 

PLEASE HELP US PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO SINGLE PARENTS WHO ARE DETERMINED TO GET THEIR CHILDREN THE EDUCATION THEY DESERVE. 

Here at A Brighter Community, we ensure Tampa Heights kids and their families receive:

* speech, occupational and physical therapy

* nutritious meals 

*  financial literacy

* housing and transportation assistance

... and anything else they need to have the opportunity to succeed.
