We were all kids and teens at one point in our lives. And we know how challenging and pivotal to our development as adults this time can be. Now imagine navigating through all these trials and obstacles without a solid support system. Most of the kids we help come from broken homes and live in very rough neighborhoods and this combination has led them to make mistakes. At AML we strive to help as many as we can to see the "light at the end of the tunnel" and hopefully offer a glimmer of hope in their otherwise bleak outlook. Our Art Therapy and Tech Life Skills classes offer this opportunity, a chance to experience new things and get in touch with their hidden talents. This discovery and rehabilitation may help them turn their life around and become productive citizens of our community.
