Deaths from drug overdose have been rising steadily over the past two decades and have become the leading cause of injury death in the United States -US CDC.

105 people die of overdose in the U.S. each day (that's over 40,00 per year)... many of these deaths are preventable.

This is our project at A New PATH (Parents for Addiction Treatment and Healing) and Moms United to End the War on Drugs:

  • We provide overdose prevention and response training, with Naloxone kits to prevent opioid overdose deaths.
  • We drive a national campaign to increase overdose awareness, and to expand overdose prevention and response training throughout the country.
  • We work with locales around the country to increase the legal availability of Naloxone and training on its use.

Our training sessions offer hands-on experience in how to recognize an overdose and administer lifesaving treatment in the critical moment. Each participant leaves with a Naloxone kit and the essential knowledge how to use it!

Naloxone is a prescription medicine that reverses an opioid overdose.

  • It cannot be used to get high and is not addictive.
  • Naloxone is safe and effective; paramedics and doctors have used it for decades.
  • California state law permits anyone at risk for having (or witnessing) a drug overdose to obtain a prescription for Naloxone.

Please help us save a life by funding this crucial education and training effort.
