A Tree 4 Christmas Inc

We are an organization of unpaid volunteers (known as Elves) whose mission is to put smiles on children's faces and to give a symbol of hope to needy families by providing Christmas trees, stockings, and ornament kits.  It is our belief that Christmas trees are a tradition that has existed for many years and are very important in a child's life.  The memories and traditions are passed on from generation to generation.  We exist to make that happen.

This is accomplished through donations from the community as well as partnering with churches and other nonprofit organizations.  It is our wish that every child and or struggling family/individual in need of a Christmas tree might have one.  Most requests state that the tree is needed for the children...often those requests are accompanied by tears and feelings of lost hope.  When a tree is delivered or picked up our hearts are warmed by the smiles on the faces of the little ones and the excitement when they see the colorful ornaments in the plastic tubs we have for them.

Money donated by individuals like yourself and our Corporate Supporters is used to purchase trees if necessary as well as candy canes, new light strands, Christmas stockings, tree toppers and skirts, and other items needed to complete the trim-a-tree kits as well as the plastic bins to put them in.  We estimate it would cost a minumum of $125 to provide one family/individual with a tree and decorations if we were to purchase everything outright.  On a few occasions we worried that we would need to turn down some requests if we did not receive enough donations.  With your help we can set that worry aside and feel comfortable in processing all requests that come to us.

We began providing trees in December of 2013, serving 25 families.  In 2014, we served 93 families/individuals.  Our goal for 2015 is 125 trees, but in reality we expect the number will be higher as more people hear about our project.  We never cease to be amazed at the need for our trees and the gratitude from the recipients.  We work for the smiles of the children...they are our reason for doing what we do.
