A True Change

A True Change, is a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Denver, Colorado. 

The mission of A True Change is to promote stability and guidance to inner-city, at-risk youth and families. 

IMPACTS FOR CHANGE 
To address the obstacles in high-risk communities, A True Change applies three primary objectives: Leadership Development, Education, and Civic Engagement. All program initiatives, events, and educational curricula were designed using this framework. 

Leadership Development

Participants demonstrate a decrease in at-risk behaviors and increased knowledge, and awareness of volunteerism, personal responsibilities, and leadership ability.

Education

(Affective Objectives)

Educational confidence is restored by providing a strong academic support system for participants to increase their GPA and display positive work attitudes, habits, and behavioral skills development. Students appreciate the encouragement to pursue college degrees in several supported career opportunities: college tours, scholarship assistance, FASFA guidance, and tools and support provided to enroll in College/University
