AAUW San Jose Local Scholarship Fund

AAUW (American Association of University Women) San Jose has been providing scholarships for women for over thirty-three years through the Local Scholarship Community Action Project. Originally, scholarships in the amount of $100 were awarded to young women graduating from high school and going to a four year institution. Later the focus changed to women who have completed two full years at an accredited college or university and are enrolled in a four-year institution. The grant amounts have increased to as much as $2500 each. As of 2014 more than $180,000 has been awarded to 117 recipients.

We are a totally volunteer project with no operating costs. All contributions go directly into scholarships. Money is deposited with the college or university for school expenses.
