Ability Beyond Disability

It all began in 1953 with a group of parents who had a dream. They wanted a better life for their children - a life in which disability did not define who they were, what they did or where they could go. That dream led to the creation of Ability Beyond, and for over 60 years, we have helped thousands of people with disabilities to discover their abilities and become a part of our communities. 

With headquarters in Connecticut and New York, Ability Beyond currently helps nearly 3,000 people with differing abilities to build a better life. Through innovative community job training and placement, supported living, and recreational and educational opportunities, we help the individuals we serve to live full and rewarding lives.

Throughout our history we have remained true to the belief of our founders - that all people deserve to be a part of their communities. At Ability Beyond we celebrate the ability and accomplishments of thousands of people with disabilities in our community. We remain committed to continuing to help those we serve today and those who will turn to us for help in the future.
