Academy of Medical Science of Maricopa County

Founded in 1966, the Academy of Medical Science of Maricopa County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Federal Employee Identification Number is 86-6054251). AMSMC operates exclusively for charitable, scientific or educational purposes. The Academy achieved Guidestar's Gold Seal of Transparency for 2020.

Personal Protective Equipment for Physicians Campaign:

Maricopa County physicians are in desperate need of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help reduce the spread of infectious diseases like the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. Physicians need PPE in order to continue or start seeing their patients. PPE includes NIOSH n95 & kn95 masks, disposable/reusable gloves & gowns, hand sanitizer and in some cases protective eye wear. New & small practice physicians are especially in need as they can't afford to buy in bulk, haven't been able to see patients, and may have limited staff working. 

PPE for Physicians Campaign Goals:

• Raise +$2500 to purchase PPE 
• Purchase PPE items such as  NIOSH n95 & kn95 masks, disposable/reusable gloves & gowns, hand sanitzer and in some cases protective eye wear
• Distribute PPE to Maricopa County physicians, prioritizing new & small practice physicians using MCMS's staff, members and volunteers
