Who We Are

ABLE is a non-profit organization led by young professionals in Boston seeking to provide a high-expectation high school education to students who may not be eligible for traditional merit based scholarships and who would likely struggle in a traditional high school.

How ABLE Works

ABLE partners with select middle schools to identify these students who would benefit from a high-expectations high school education and a dedicated and involved mentor. Prospective students are screened through an application process and collaborative discussions with school administrators to ensure that ABLE’s resources are allocated to those most in need. Upon selection, ABLE provides customized financial aid packages and pairs students with a committed mentor who supports a student throughout his or her high school career. Mentors serve as role models and academic coaches stressing the importance for students to graduate from high school and go on to a 4-year college.

Partner High Schools

ABLE partners with 6 high schools throughout Boston, including: BC High, Catholic Memorial, Fontbonne, St. Joseph Prep, Boston Trinity Academy and St. Mary’s. Click on the school links below to learn more about each one.
